Frase de João Ricardo Lopes (reflexões à boca de cena onstage reflections)

essência não cabe nos olhos nem desliza entre a boca e as palavras. tu, todas as manhãs, desfazendo a penumbra devagar, prometendo que regressarás, tu és a essência e eu sonho que sim * the essence does not fit in the eyes nor does it slide between the mouth and the words. you, every morning, undoing the twilight slowly, promising that you will return, you are the essence and I dream you are (Translated by Bernarda Esteves)

o sótão é perigosamente isto, o lugar dos breves e esquecidos. sobe-se e depois regressa-se outra vez sem pressa ao mundo dos vivos. queima-nos, sim. o etílico das lágrimas é álcool puro * the attic is dangerously this, the place of the brief and forgotten. one ascends and then returns again without haste to the world of the living. it burns us, indeed. the ethylic of the tears is pure alcohol (Translated by Bernarda Esteves)

a manhã estremece, traz o corpo atordoado de uma rosa as aparas de sol, as mãos estreitadas numa carícia solitária. * the morning quivers, brings the stunned body of a rose the flickering sun, the gathered hands in a lonesome caress. (Translated by Bernarda Esteves)

vê como o vento em nós acorda uma loucura de labareda azuldourada. * see how the wind awakens in us a madness of a goldenedblue flame. (Translated by Bernarda Esteves)
